WANITA MCA will play matchmaker again by hosting a “Speed Dating Party” for Chinese singles at the Legend Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on Dec 26.
“This year, we are targeting 250 participants ranging between 25 and 42 years old.
“Cupid Space Wanita MCA has become a reliable and preferred channel for eligible singles to find true love,” Wanita MCA chief Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun said, referring to the matchmaking programme which is into its ninth year.
Chew told reporters on Monday that Cupid Space had 3,875 registered members with 2,085 active members, two-`thirds of whom were female.
The majority are degree holders aged between 31 and 36 and 90.6 per cent are whitecollar workers.
The programme has a success rate of seven per cent, with 173 couples either married or at the dating stage.
Chew said 23 couples had found their life partners during the activities organised this year.
Registration for the Dec 26 event will be held at Level 6, Wisma MCA, in Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, between 11am and 3pm on Dec 13, 19 and 20.
